Lorsque l&#039;\u00e9chantillon traverse la cellule d&#039;observation, il est \u00e9clair\u00e9 par une lumi\u00e8re blanche. La lumi\u00e8re transmise \u00e0 travers l&#039;\u00e9chantillon est dispers\u00e9e par le prisme, de sorte que les diff\u00e9rentes diodes peuvent \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme un d\u00e9tecteur \u00e0 longueur d&#039;onde unique. Le signal du d\u00e9tecteur permet de construire le spectre d&#039;absorption. L&#039;utilisateur peut d\u00e9terminer le nombre d&#039;esp\u00e8ces chimiques impliqu\u00e9es dans les variations d&#039;absorbance et calculer leur spectre d&#039;absorbance respectif.
